I am noticing several women asking me indirectly how the dating thing is going and if I have met others and then getting bent out of shape if I mention that I am also talking to other girls and one told me upfront that she doesn't want to date guys who are also dating others at the same time.
I thought this was a reasonable expectation with online dating. I'm a "one at a time" kind of person. If there's no second date, then I'm free to go with another option.
Still, it's pretty rare that more than one will express interest in me or contact me at any given time I always let the other person initiate contact. At that point it was more just meeting people than actual dates. I talked and exchanged messages with more than one person at a time too. None of this was a secret and the people I met knew I was meeting others.
We often exchanged stories about online dating. When I met someone I was interested in getting to know better, I reverted to my one man at a time rule. With regard to online dating, I've had my fair share and I usually had fun with it. Yes, you surely will end up talking to different people at the same time. I find it far easier to weed out the losers by doing this when I was single. If someone had an "issue" with me and we weren't even dating, well yeah, that's a sign for me to say good riddance. Yes, there are going to be people who take issue that they are not your one and only online dating buddy but you know what?

so why dismiss online dating how many people talk to at once other prospects after the 2nd date and then be left with nothing incase it doesn't work out? I don't think this is a successful strategy. Just because you get a 2nd date with someone doesn't mean they are interested, they may be just trying to confirm that they don't have chemistry by going on a 2nd date, infact I think mostly this is the case.
